Alien Drawing Swap
Do you believe in life on other planets?! This activity is a quick and fun writing and computer drawing exercise!
STEP 1: Draw a picture of an alien using the paint program on your computer: Go to the START button. Click PROGRAMS Click ACCESSORIES Click PAINT When you have finished drawing your alien save your alien to your personal drive. STEP 2: In Microsoft Word write directions on how to draw your alien. You need to very detailed in your writing and write directions step by step because someone else will be trying to draw your alien based on your description. Be specific! STEP 3: When you have finished print 1 copy of your writing. Then print a second copy of writing but put your alien picture at the bottom (insert it as a picture). Turn in both copies to Mrs. Geigner. |
Learning to write with exact description is crucial to technical writing; often people will not have illustrations in front of them when they are repoducing directions- so using descriptive writing is key!
